Hi, I’m Elizabeth.

I’m twenty-three years old and I currently call Norfolk, Virginia my home. I started working with animals back in 2021, and I was introduced to the grooming industry. Through the years, as I’ve grown and learned, I’ve fallen in love with it and the many dogs I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I always dreamed of making my own way in the grooming world and I am so thankful to finally have the ability to do so. I take pride in my patience with the animals and creating a safe and loving environment for each and every fur baby that hops on my bus. I believe in a stress-free grooming experience. I promise to make your pets my priority and treat them like my own. I’m ready to share my talents and love with all the furry friends in Hampton Roads. “

If you need to cancel an appointment, please give me at least 24 hours notice via phone at (757)-354-1127.

MATTING

As a groomer and pet parent myself, I know the struggles of maintaining a coat and how easily matting can occur, even with the proper attention to your pet. That being said, when it comes to matting, I will use my professional opinion to decide, with your permission, what is best for your pet. Even though some mats CAN be brushed out, if it is on the majority of the body, there is the possibility of having to give your pet a shorter length. This is because I strongly believe in a comfortable groom, and do not see it as beneficial to the dog’s wellbeing to put them through the stress of extreme de-matting. We will have a conversation discussing solutions prior to any further action taken. Options will always be discussed with the pet parent prior to grooming if I am not able to give your pet the haircut desired due to matting. In the event of extreme matting on your pet, there may be an upcharge due to the extra time and care it takes to delicately and safely remove said matting. If a pet comes repeatedly with consistent/severe matting, there will need to be a discussion between myself and the pet parent before services are booked again.

BEHAVIOUR

Lots of pets are not a fan of the grooming process. Through the years, I have learned how to deal with all different types of behavioral concerns while still completing my services. That being said, I will not push a pet past their threshold of stress in order to get picture perfect results. However, I will always try my best. My first priority is making sure your pet has a safe groom and is excited to return to my bus for their next visit. If at any point during the service I feel it is not in mine or your pet’s best interest to continue, there will be no charge for that day, and we can have a discussion moving forward. I would be more than happy to give you my professional recommendation for your next steps in that event.

INJURY DURING SERVICE

Grooming can be a risky; it comes with the territory. Many dogs do not react well to various parts of the process. While I always groom as safely as possible and use necessary precautions to prevent injuries, sometimes they happen. In the event that your pet is injured during a service, I will immediately stop the service and let you know what is happening. If your pet needs to go to the vet for an injury that happened at my own fault, Elizabeth’s Mobile Grooming will reimburse you for any vet bills and make sure your pet gets all the attention they need. If I cannot complete the groom due to an injury, there will be no charge that day and we can discuss your options to complete the service another time.
